Air India Announces Additional Flights Between London and 3 Indian Cities
Air India has announced additional flights between London and Indian cities Chennai,Kolkata and Goa.
It is part of the additional 60 flights announced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation after the U.K eased travel restrictions on India from ‘Red’ to ‘Amber’ that Air India announced these services.
Indian carriers are entitled to operate 60 flights unless and until the scheduled international services are allowed to operate normally on this route.
As per social media updates by Air India;
- Non-stop flight between London and Kolkata on August 21 and 28, 2021. Flight on Kolkata-London route will be operational on August 22 and 29, 2021.
- Flights on London-Chennai sector will starts from August 26 and 31, 2021; and between Chennai and London on August 27 and September 1, 2021.
- Moreover, the airline will also operate flights on London – Goa- London sector on August 26 and 27, 2021.
Earlier, Air India had anndounced flights from and to 6 major Indian cities Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Amritsar, and Kochi to London, the United Kingdom under the latest arrangements.
Vistara has also been operating 4 weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from Delhi to London and a return flight from London every Monday and Friday.
UK-based British Airways had also made announcement that it would increase the frequency of flights between India and London from 10 to 20 flights per week starting from August 16, 2021.
As per the schedule shared by the airline, it will be operating 20 direct return flights connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad to London Heathrow.
