Air India Resumes Mumbai-New York Flight – Schedule Here
Air India has announced the resumption of its non-stop service between Mumbai and New York starting February 14, 2023. The Mumbai-New York route was suspended in 2019 due to the Covid-19 outbreak and this is the first time since then that Air India has decided to resume this service. With this, Air India will now have three non-stop services from Mumbai to the United States, the other two being Mumbai-San Francisco and Mumbai-New York.
The total frequency of India-US routes will now be 47 non-stop flights per week, with a total frequency of 61 for India-North America, including flights to Canada. The airline will operate the Mumbai-New York route with the newly inducted Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, which has a total of 238 seats in a three-class configuration and is primarily used on long-haul routes. The first flight from Mumbai to New York (AI 119) will depart at 00:55 hrs and arrive in New York at 06:55 hrs (local time) on the same day.
The return flight (AI 116) will depart New York at 10:55 hrs (local time) and arrive in Mumbai at 11:35 hrs the next day.
