Air India Resumes Non-Stop Flights Between Delhi and Vienna, Enhancing Global Connectivity
Air India has resumed non-stop flights between Delhi and Vienna, Austria’s renowned “Music City,” starting from February 18th, 2023. This marks a significant step towards the airline’s commitment to increasing connectivity between India’s major cities and leading global destinations, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flight, Air India Flight AI153, will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing Delhi at 1435 Hrs. and arriving in Vienna at 1845 Hrs. (local time). The service is operated by an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, featuring a two-class cabin configuration of 18 Business Class seats and 236 Economy Class seats. With the resumption of this service, Air India’s India-Europe frequency has increased to 69 non-stop flights per week.

Air India had suspended flights on the Delhi-Vienna-Delhi route in March 2020 following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the resumption of services is expected to capitalize on the growing demand for international travel and provide easy connectivity for Indian travelers to popular destinations in and around Vienna.
This non-stop service will offer Indian travelers convenient access to numerous popular destinations, including Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and France, among others. Air India’s Chief Customer Experience & Global Head of Ground Handling, Rajesh Dogra, expressed his enthusiasm at the inauguration of the Delhi-Vienna flight on February 18, 2023, along with other senior officials.
