Air India Resumes Non-Stop Flights Between India And Canada; Details

Indian national carrier Air India has decided to resume direct flights between India and Canada. It is after Canadian Government’s decision to lift month long travel ban on Indian passengers that Air India decided to resume the direct flights.

Air India will resume its Delhi-Vancouver and Delhi-Toronto flights.

The airline also announced that all passengers from India to Canada must submit a negative Covid- test report, taken 18 hours before departure from an approved laboratory, at the New Delhi Airport.

According to the announcement made by the Air India, the resumed non-stop flight to Vancouver (YVR) is scheduled from Delhi(DEL) every Wednesday, Friday & Sunday from 1st Oct 2021.

Also, AI 185 (DEL/YVR)/AI 186 (YVR/DEL) of 26/28 Sep to operate on 27/29 Sep’21.

New Travel Guidelines  For Passengers Traveling To Canada From India

1. The negative Covid-19 test report should be taken not more than 18 hours before departure.

2. Prior to boarding, air operators will check the travelers’ test results ensuring they are eligible to come to Canada.

3. Fully vaccinated passengers will have to upload the relevant information into the ArriveCAN mobile app or website.

4. Those who are unable to meet these requirements will be denied boarding by the officials.

5. Passengers traveling to Canada from India via an indirect route must obtain a pre-departure negative Covid-19 molecular test result from a third country before continuing their journey to Canada.
