Air India to double flights to U.S from August 7

Indian national carrier Air India, which has been entrusted to operate flights between India and the U.S under air bubble agreement, has decided to increase the number of flights between these countries from August 7.

It is due to the expected rush of Indian student to the U.S on these dates that Air India decided to operate more flights under the air bubble agreement.

Air India had reduced the number of flights between India and the U.S since May 4 imposing travel restrictions on India due to the severe second wave of Covid-19.

According to a latest report, the Airline will operate atleast 21 flights per week to the U.S in which maximum number will be operated to New York (JFK and Newark or EWR).

Another destinations which get maximum number of flights are Chicago and San Francisco.

Last month, the US embassy announced that there would be no need of any proof of COVID-19 vaccination for the Indian students who secured US visa appointments for July and August to enter the US.
