Air India to Operate Three Weekly Direct Flights Between Mumbai and San Francisco from Dec 15
Air India, the Tata group-owned airline on Thursday announced that it will increase the services between India and the US. The airline has decided to operate new direct flights between Mumbai and San Francisco.
According to the airline’s announcement, flight services on this new air route will begin on December 15, 2022.
“Fly direct from Mumbai to San Francisco, thrice a week, starting 15th December 2022, with round-trip fares from Rs 1,02,837/- First. Fastest. Non-stop,” said Air India in a tweet.
To meet the rising demand for travel, Air India will operate three weekly non-stop flights between Mumbai and San Francisco every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The detailed schedule of these flights will be as follow.

Booking of these flights has already been open and can be booked through the official website of Air India, online travel websites, call centres or the airline’s city office. The airline is also offering an inaugural round trip airfare for Mumbai-San Francisco-Mumbai will begin at Rs 1,02,837.
It is worth noting that Air India will fly between Mumbai and New York on the luxurious B777-200LR. The Boeing 777-200LR has three cabin layouts: 8 seats in First Class, 35 seats in Business Class, and 195 seats in Economy Class.

Air India had earlier announced that it would operate additional 20 weekly flights to San Francisco in the United States and Birmingham and London in the United Kingdom. This is part of the airline’s ongoing effort to reclaim its place on the global aviation map.
With the addition of five additional flights per week to Birmingham, nine additional flights to London, and six additional flights to San Francisco, Air India will be able to provide customers with over 5,000 additional seats per week as well as plenty of choice in terms of connectivity, convenience, and cabin space.
Moreover, Air India will offer daily direct flights between Mumbai and New York Effective February 14, 2023.
