Amul Takes A Jibe At TikTok, WeChat In Latest Topical
India’s biggest diary product manufacturers, Amul, who is also one of the best in creating funny ads, has rolled out their new ad which points the issue of India-China clash and appreciates the Central government’s move to ban 59 China-based mobile apps including TikTok, SheIn, WeChat.
In view of privacy concerns, the government of India banned the apps, saying that they were prejudicial to the sovereignty, integrity and security of the country. TikTok, which is owned by China-based ByteDance, is a lip synchronizing , dance and comedy app that permits users to share their videos with millions on TikTok platform.

As against the backdrop of the clash between India and China at Galwan Valley in Ladakh , the Indian government had banned 59 mobile apps, terming them prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity, defense of the country. The Ministry of Information Technology said in a release that it has decided to block 59 apps in view of the information available that “they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order”.
“For safety, security, defense, sovereignty & integrity of India and to protect data & privacy of people of India the Government has banned 59 mobile apps. Jai Hind!”, wrote Law, Electronics and Information Technology Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad on Twitter.
