Arvind Kejriwal asks centre to stop flights from U.K
In the wake of the new wave of coronavirus spread in the UK, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday asked the centre to stop all flights from the UK.
”New mutation of corona virus has emerged in UK, which is a super-spreader. I urge central govt to ban all flights from UK immediately,” Arvind Kejriwal said in a tweet.

Earlier, Kejriwal had claimed that the new coronavirus wave in the city was brought under under control,new cases in the city are far below a peak of over 8,000 last month and a positivity rate of less than 1.5 per cent.
According to CNN, the Indian government is now observing the situation in the UK where a highly infectious strain of coronavirus is appeared again. London and southeast England have already announced ‘stay at home’ lockdown ahead of Christmas.
At least four European countries have stopped flights from the UK — Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Germany. Reports suggest that the European Union countries are now looking at a collective step in response to the revelation that this strain of SARS CoV-2 is over 70% more infectious, the report said.
