Ayurveda remedy for ringworm
Ringworm, also known as dermatophytosis, dermatophyte infection, or tinea, is a fungal infection of the skin which initially appears as red patches on the affected areas of the skin and later spreads to other parts of the body. Normally, it affects the scalp, feet, nails, groin, beard, or other areas.
The recurrent ringworm risk puts people in an insoluble dilemma as it is not easily curable. However, Ayurveda, ancient Indian treatment system, offers some simple remedies including medicine for this highly worrisome disease.
Dr Shabu Pattambi,an Ayurveda physician,on his Facebook post describes these Ayurvedic remedies.
Although a fungal infection, according to Ayurveda ringworm is caused by Kapha,Pitta and Raktha disease.
Whatever foods that increase Kapha and bad blood formation will increase the chances of the disease.
So, the doctor advises to avoid Non veg food items, yogurt and other fatty foods.
Too much sweating is the another problem that causes this fungal infection. The doctor advises Vetiver added lukewarm water to reduce the sweating problems.
In addition to the medicine prescribed by the doctor during the session, initiating proper diet and stopping sweating problems can completely cure this disease, the doctor said.
