From Feb 21 Fully Vaccinated Visa Holders Can Enter Australia Without A Travel Exemption

VFS Global, the outsourcing and technology services company has informed that starting from 21st February 2022 all fully vaccinated visa holders can travel to Australia without a travel exemption.

However, Unvaccinated visa holders will still need a valid travel exemption to enter Australia.

This comes after the Australian Govt’s decision to reopen its borders to vaccinated tourists and other visa holders for the first time after the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in a statement said; “If you’re double vaccinated, we look forward to welcoming you back.”

Mr. Morrison on Monday also said those entering Australia when the borders fully reopened would need to provide proof of vaccination: “That’s the rule. Everyone is expected to abide by it,” he said.

Unvaccinated travelers who have a medical reason for not being jabbed will still need to apply for a travel exemption and, if successful, will be required to quarantine at a hotel.
