Germany removes India from high risk area list; eases travel restrictions
Germany has eased travel restrictions on passengers from India as the Covid-19 spreading rate in the country reduced significantly.
The Robert Koch Institute, which is the German agency for disease prevention and control, announced that it removed India from high risk area list.
According to the Schengen News, the passengers from India who are permitted to enter Germany are no longer obliged to fill out the digital entry form at einreiseanmeldung.de and to carry the confirmation they have received with them upon entry and will also not be subject to requirements as vaccination passport, testing and quarantine.
In addition to India, Germany also removed the countries such as Bangladesh, Botswana, Brazil, Cyprus, Eswatini, Ireland – the West Region, Lesotho, Malawi, Nepal, Portugal – the Algarve region, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe from the list of high risk area.
