Indian Students And Those Who Got Job Offers From Germany Seek Travel Exemption
The Indian students who enrolled in German Universities and people who got appointed in German companies have sought travel exemption from the ministry of external affairs to travel to Germany.
A petition signed by a group of candidates including engineers, researchers, managers and data scientists have been submitted in this regard.
According to the Times of India, the signatories have pleaded with government to allow them to travel to Germany as their jobs are at stake.
There are around 600 employees and close to 900 students are waiting to travel to Germany, the report said quoting the signatories.
Some of them have said that they could lose their jobs as “the European Union and the German laws do not allow” them to start working remotely.”
Many of Germany’s neighboring countries such as France, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria are now allowing Indian employees to arrive in their country for work purposes, the report said.
