Indians with US visa, green card or UK/EU residence can get UAE visa on arrival

UAE flag carrier Etihad on its website said, Indians with valid US visa,green card or residency of UK/EU  are now be eligible for UAE visa on arrival.

“If you are an Indian citizen, you are now eligible to apply for a visa when you arrive in the UAE, including Abu Dhabi. To qualify, you must have a US visitor visa or green card, or holding a UK or EU residence valid for at least six months. And your passport must have at least six months validity,” Etihad said on its website.

“Your visa will be valid for a maximum stay of 14 days and cost AED 100. You can extend the duration of your stay by an additional 14 days once only, by paying a renewal fee of AED 250,” it added.

An approval from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) is not required, Etihad Airways said on its website.

The UAE imposed travel ban on India in April-end. Since then the country has been gradually lifting the restrictions for India.

According to Etihad, other categories of people allowed to fly to Abu Dhabi as a final destination include:

•A fully vaccinated resident of the UAE – you must have proof of having received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine within the UAE no less than 14 days before travel.

•Medical personnel, education sector workers or students studying in the UAE.

•Travelling for medical reasons.

•A federal government agency worker.

•Diplomat.

•UAE national (ICA approval not required).

•Golden/Silver Visa holder (ICA approval not required).
