Kamal Haasan and Gautam Adani congratulate India’s youngest mayor Arya Rajendran
Actor Kamal Haasan and Industrialist Gautam Adani on Tuesday hailed 21 year old Arya Rajendran, who created history by becoming India’s youngest mayor after being elected as the Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation.
“Hearty congratulations to Comrade Arya Rajendran who has taken charge as Mayor of Trivandrum at a very young age. M ′′ Mathar Army ′′ is ready for a change in Tamil Nadu too,” Kamal Haasan wrote on Facebook.

Arya Rajendran becomes the youngest corporation Mayor in the country after being sworn in as Mayor of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation on Monday. She won from Mudavunmugal division with a majority of 549 votes. The 21-year-old Arya is belonging to the CPI(M) and is a B.Sc. second year student at the All Saints College, Thiruvananthapuram.
