Many Countries Start Welcoming Indian Travelers: The list
Many countries had put a ban on Indian travelers due to the alarming surge of Covid-19 cases in India, but some countries are opening their doors to Indian travelers with adequate documents showing they are not Covid – affected. Some countries insist on the travelers a RT-PCR test 72 hours prior to boarding the flights. Some countries also require the passengers to stay in quarantine for 14 days on arrival on their own expense. Some other countries require the passengers should carry vaccination certificates.
Here are the list of countries which welcome Indian travelers:
Russia
As part of reviving their tourism industry, Russia has decided to resume flight operations to and from India. However, as per the guidelines published by Russian officials, travelers are mandated to carry a negative RT-PCR test result, which must be issued not less than 72 hours before their arrival.
Turkey
Turkey, one of the sought after Mediterranean tourist countries also open for Indian travelers. According to the guidelines, travelers need to carry a negative PCR test result and test must be taken not more than 72 hours before boarding their flight. The travelers also have to undergo quarantine for 14 days in locations determined by Turkish authorities. One may also be subjected to random PCR testing upon their arrival.
Iceland
According to the Times of India, all travelers ‘regardless of their origin’ can now visit Iceland. A proof of previous infection and recovery or certificate of vaccination (Covishield in India’s case) will even exempt one from providing a negative PCR-test result. However, all travelers will be required to undergo a COVID screening upon arrival, without any exceptions. Travelers will be required to undergo quarantine till one takes another test five days later. If that test result comes negative, your quarantine period will also end.
Serbia
Serbia is also also open to Indian travelers. But, unlike most countries, Serbia only demands a report that is not older than 48 hours for entry from a traveler.
Egypt
Even the number of flights to the country has been reduced due to the pandemic, Indians can still enjoy the historically renowned Egypt. The travelers need to produce an RT-PCR test report before not less than 72 hours prior to arrival. Travelers are expected to undergo quarantine at their place of stay till they receive a negative test result.
Uzbekistan
To spent the holiday in Uzbekistan this year,the travelers from India have to provide a negative RT-PCR test report that is not older than 72 hours prior to arrival and they are also required to undergo quarantine for 14 days.
Afghanistan
Indians will need to produce a negative RT-PCR test report that should not be older than 72 hours prior to travel to Afghanistan.
South Africa
South Africa also welcomes Indian travelers and all they need are an RT-PCR test report and a self-quarantine at the travelers own expense.
Costa Rica
Indians can travel to Costa Rica, and which does not need any RT-PCR test report or vaccination certificate. However, the travellers are required to fill out a health pass form upon arrival.
Mauritius
According to the latest report, Mauritius will accept Indian travelers from July 15, 2021 on wards. Travelers will have to take a COVID test, and undergo 14-day quarantine period on arrival.
