New Technique to Treat Complex Scars and Surgery Wounds
Facial plastic surgeon Dr. Debraj Shome along with dermatologist Rinky Kapoor has developed a new technique to treat complex scars and surgery wounds. The study conducted by them has been published in the prestigious international peer reviewed ‘Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal’ of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Debraj Shome was earlier conferred the Indian of the Year by Network 7 media establishment and he received at the venue of Indian leadership conclave held in Mumbai.
Dr. Debraj Shome is the Director of the Esthetic Clinics wherein he has perceived many researches in the field of Cosmetic Surgery sphere. He has made quite a lot of ground breaking inventions in this field. In pursuance of new technique the doctors conducted a study amongst 100 patients, having scars which vary between 1-7 inches of width.
Over a period of six months, the study was conducted among the people of the age group of 19-47 years. The study observed that 76% patients showed considerable improvement using this technique. This means that the scar appeared to have blended with the surrounding skin. After 6 months of treatment, the scars showed more than 80% improvement and this was a remarkable step in this field.
