Video: KSRTC bus driver’s presence of mind saves a child who got stuck on a busy road
A two year old Kerala boy who dangerously got stuck on a busy road at Udayankulangara in Thiruvananthapuram and nearly hit by a bus has survived against all odds. Thanks to the presence of mind of the Kerala Transport Corporation bus driver K.Rajendran who applied the break of the bus seeing the child rushing onto the crowded road.
The bus was heading to Thiruvanathapuram from Neyyattinkara when Rajendran came across the child unexpectedly on the road and he suddenly stopped the bus to save the child. Praises are pouring in for him from people who watched a CCTV footage of the incident which was viral on social media.
Kerala Transport Corporation also felicitated Rajendran for his timely act.
The child was with his parents who were busy in a cycle shop. The child suddenly ran across the busy road to pick up a ball which fell from his hands and rolled down to the midst of the road.
The people had a sigh of relief who watched the incident breathlessly.
