United Airlines suspends India flights
United Airlines has decided to suspend some of their India bound services due to the current travel restrictions imposed on India.
The carrier will also delay the launch of its long-awaited Bangalore-San Francisco route from this month to early August.
According to Reuters, United is suspending the new Delhi-Chicago route starting from June 1st. The service currently operates daily and only commenced last December.
The carrier, however, would deploy Boeing 777-300ER in stead of its 787-9 to serve the Delhi-Chicago route until June 1 in order to repatriate travelers in both countries and send more critical medical cargo.
According to RadarBox.com, the change actually started on May 4th, and United has been flying its largest aircraft since then.
Except Delhi-Chicago route, United will resume all other flights such as Delhi and Mumbai to Newark, and Delhi to San Francisco on a daily basis.
Earlier, Indian national carrier Air India had decided to cancel some of their U.S bound flights due to the travel restrictions.
