United Airlines To Add More Flights To India
United Airlines, which has been operating flights between India and USA under air bubble agreement, has decided to add more flights to India.
According to reports United will add flights to India, Asia, Israel, Australia and Latin America from Chicago, New York/Newark, Denver, San Francisco, Houston, Washington and Los Angeles.
“We continue to be realistic in our approach to building back our international and domestic schedules by closely monitoring customer demand and flying where people want to go,” said Patrick Quayle, United’s vice president of International Network and Alliances, in a statement.
Currently, United Airlines operates once daily from Delhi to Newark and thrice-weekly from Delhi to San Francisco.
In terms of fare, United is charging Rs.57,000 ($763) for its one-way Delhi to Newark flights and for San Francisco flights, it is collecting Rs. 67,000 ($895). As dynamic pricing is in place, there may be variations in the price especially when it comes to the closing dates.
Air India is pricing Rs.51,000 for US flights, almost 50% price fall from their repatriation services. Thanks to the air bubbles created by Indian government. However, according to reports there may be an increase in the price up to 30% during the closing hours.
