Vaccine registrations for above age 18 will start from Saturday

National Health Authority (NHA) on Thursday announced that vaccination registrations for above 18 years will commence in the coming 48 hours.

In addition to indigenous vaccines Covaxin and Covishield, recently approved Russian vaccine Sputnik V can also be selected at some centers, RS Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority (NHA) said.

In order to speed up the vaccination drive more centers and private facilities have also been added, Sharma said.

Moreover, private firms will publish vaccine time table on CoWin platform to help people book date and time. “Private firms/industries need to share information on vaccination of employees numbers on CoWin platform,” he said.

Also, any case of Adverse event following immunization (AEFI) after vaccination will be monitored, Sharma said.
