Walnut is the only kind of nuts that contain Alpha Linolenic Acid which is an Omega 3 fatty acid and consequently help in regulating blood pressure and preventing Cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, one ounce of Walnuts contains 2 gram fibers and 4 grams of protein.
Researches prove that consuming one gram of Alpha Linolenic Acid would almost reduce the chances of heart attacks by 10%. But this does not mean that you can eat it without control. Consuming more than 45 grams can do more harm than good.
