‘We shall win this together’: PM Modi responds to Trump’s ‘Thank you’ note
US President Donald Trump had on Wednesday praised India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in response to Indian government’s decision to ease restrictions on export of anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine, which is found effective against Covid-19 disease.. India is the largest manufacturer of this medicine.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, acknowledging US President Donald Trump’s “Thank you” note on Twitter on Wednesday welcoming India’s decision to lift export ban on hydroxychloroquine, the drug which is manufactured in India and found effective against coronavirus, told the US president that India would do everything possible to help humanity’s fight against Covid-19.
“Fully agree with you President @realDonaldTrump. Times like these bring friends closer. The India-US partnership is stronger than ever. India shall do everything possible to help humanity’s fight against COVID-19. We shall win this together,” PM Modi said on Twitter, tagging Trump’s tweet.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday thanked India and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter, in response to the Indian government’s decision to lift the ban on export of anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine that Trump said would be a game-changer in the battle against Covid-19 pandemic.
Trump’s tweet, thanking India and PM Modifor lifting the export restrictions was in sharp contrast to his interaction with reporters this week when he threatened “retaliation” if the restrictions weren’t lifted.
